How to properly care products with amber?
Baltic amber, otherwise known as Nordic gold, is an exceptional type of amber found in the Baltic Sea region. Because Baltic amber contains a lot of succinic acid (succinate), it is also called succinite. The palaces and churches of nobles have been decorated with amber since ancient times. Sometimes amber was simply inlaid into the walls of a room because it was considered a decorative material. Amber is a petrified resin of wood. This stone has exceptional chemical and physical properties. Amber is sensitive to heat, flammable, reacts with chemicals. Chemicals can damage the surface, which can lead to oxidation, discoloration. Over time, amber loses its luster, which can be restored by rubbing into the fabric. Do not clean amber products with chemicals, abrasives (toothpaste, soda or other), as this may scratch the surface. Avoid any rough cleaning that could scratch or damage the surface. Properly maintained products will delight you and decorate your interior for many years.
